Nicauris Ubiera

Nicauris Ubiera, MA, LPC

As a parent of a struggling adolescent and teen, you often find yourself wondering what you can do to help them feel better. It seems like you have tried everything but nothing seems to work. Their personality has changed and you might think it can get worse. You know they have so much potential but might need a little guidance and help to put it into practice. Moreover, they might be going through life changes that will affect their ability to see the world working in their favor, it might affect the way they feel about themselves and have an impact on their emotional and mental well being.

Nicauris especially likes working with children, adolescents and teens but can work with any individual who is dealing with depression, anxiety, suicidal ideation, gender identity issues and anger management. She also works with families and parents providing tools and communication skills to help the parent understand and help their child cope with the difficult stage they might be going through. She has experience in working with children, adolescents and teens for over 10 years.

Nicauris received her Master’s in Mental Health Counseling from Alliance Graduate School of Counseling at Nyack College.

Our office is located within the First Reformed Church of the Palisades in Fort Lee, NJ, a township of roughly 40,000 people in Bergen County. Fort Lee is the site of an early American Revolutionary War encampment and is often recognized as the birthplace of the American film industry. It is frequently referred to as the sixth borough of New York City. It is relatively close to the George Washington Bridge and surrounded by many towns, including Englewood, Englewood Cliffs, Cliffside Park, Palisades Park, Bogota, Tenafly, and the rest of Eastern Bergen County. There are so many towns. We have people coming from Rockland County, NY, and it is a quick trip on 9W.

There is so much congestion. Approximately 55% of Fort Lee's inhabitants are married. The median age of Fort Lee’s residents is 46, with 85% working in White-Collar industries. We work with the residents of Fort Lee and the surrounding towns to find hope and healing and make lasting changes.
